Vermont, New York and Pennsylvania plan to work together to boost their dairy industries.

Agriculture commissioners in all three states signed an agreement today in Pennsylvania.

The three states will develop cooperative programs that focus on improving dairy profitability and productivity.

They also will support research on diverse dairy business models and develop marketing that promotes Northeast dairy farmers and milk processing plants.

Together the three states produce 15% of the country’s milk.
