A former Brattleboro man who took to the road on his bicycle after a string of bad luck has found more of it.

Three weeks after he sold his belongings and set out with only his bicycle and his camping gear, 46-year-old Bob Viens had his bicycle and other possession stolen Saturday while in Nova Scotia, where he’s now stranded.

Someone stole the bicycle and gear after he’d locked it up outside a library. Police searched the neighborhood, media outlets publicized the theft and Viens checked in with a nearby pawn shop, but no trace of his belongings was found.

Viens lost his job at an auto dealership and didn’t get a job he’d applied for with a photography project before the trip. He says everything was going great and now, he has no transportation and no place to sleep.
