Vermont Technical College faculty vote ‘no confidence’ in chancellor

The faculty at Vermont Technical College has joined those at Lyndon and Castleton State College in voting “no confidence” in Chancellor Robert Clarke. An official with the union representing faculty members say the resolution passed at VTC on Wednesday by a wide margin.

Faculty members say their concerns about Clarke go beyond a labor dispute that has continued for two years. They say their role in governance at the colleges has been reduced, and workloads have increased.

The state colleges Board of Trustees, to which Clarke answers, recently voted to continue to support their chancellor.
