State officials are giving delinquent taxpayers a chance to pay up without any late fee.
The Vermont Tax Amnesty Program will waive the late payment for some taxpayers starting Monday through August 31.
Officials say many residents may have fallen behind on their payments because of the poor economy.
The Vermont Department of Taxes has sent letters to individuals who are eligible for the waiver.
