Vermonters hope to make the Major Leagues this season

It’s been more than 19 years since a Vermont-born baseball player has made it to the Major Leagues. But that could change this year. Six Vermont baseball players are finishing spring training in Florida and Arizona: Brad Baker, Tyler Pelland, Jeff Barry, Jamie Merchant, Jeff Dixon and Trevor Marcotte. They are all still in the minor leagues, but hope to be called up during the season.
