Authorities have released the names of the three young people who were killed when their car slammed into a tree in the eastern Adirondacks.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Department has identified the dead as 17-year-old Justin Frasier of Hague, 18-year-old Asia Fuller of Ticonderoga and 21-year-old Ryan Thompson of Ticonderoga.

A fourth person — 23-year-old Mindy Glenn of Ticonderoga — was injured and transported to the hospital in Burlington, Vermont. Information on her condition isn’t immediately available.

Authorities say the four were riding in Thompson’s car when the vehicle left the road and crashed into a tree along Route 8 in Hague, on the northern end of Lake George.

A man headed to work came upon the crash scene just before seven yesterday morning.

Officials say speed and alcohol are believed to have played a role in the crash.

Investigators are trying to determine what time the crash occurred.
