Visiting Artists
David Huddle is author of more than a dozen books of poetry and fiction. He retired in 2009 after nearly four decades teaching students at the University of Vermont. But he continues to teach at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia and at the Breadloaf School of English.
For our "Visiting Artists" series, VPR’s Jane Lindholm visits Huddle at the Breadloaf School to discuss why some of his work takes prose form and some becomes poetry – and why he’s worried about retiring from teaching.
