(Host) The dean of the Vermont Law School has joined the effort to look into alleged wrongdoing at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. Hospital trustees named Vermont Law School Dean L. Kinvin Wroth to serve on the special committee. The committee is investigating allegations that the hospital officials deliberately skirted state regulations.

Allegations were made last month that Fletcher Allen’s former financial officer testified he was ordered to design a financing plan that would circumvent state review for a new parking garage.

The attorney general’s office and the U.S. attorney’s office are also investigating the hospital. Wroth will serve on a committee that includes former University of Vermont President Edwin Colodny and retired accountant David Coates.
