A number of areas around the state are still dealing with damage from Tuesday’s storms and flash floods.

Damage was concentrated in Lowell, which is in the Northeast Kingdom. Several roads and bridges were hit. Rushing water washed out driveways and roads.

A number of other areas had similar damage, including pavement that was undermined when culverts couldn’t handle the volume of rushing water.

Electric utilities in the area also reported down power lines and, at the height of the storm, several thousand utility customers were without power.

Electricity has been restored for all but a few hundred homes and businesses.
