Vermont horse lovers are rallying to help a 26-year-old horse who fell into a spring in Pittsford earlier this month recover from her injuries.

Doctor Lisa Hickman, a veterinarian at the Clarendon Aninal Clinic, and Courtney Sheehy, owner of C-Horse Hydrotherapy in Rutland Town, have been donating their services to the cause.

The Carriage Shed in White River Junction, which sells small outbuildings, has made one available at no charge so the horse, named Kyrie, has shelter during her rehabilitation.

Kyrie had her first hydrotherapy treatment on Saturday, in which her wounds were bathed in cold salt water.

Her owner, Susan Musial, says she’s amazed by the help she and Kyrie have been getting.
