VT Edition: Candy Page on turning food waste into energy

Well over a hundred thousand tons of food waste hit Vermont’s landfills each year.  That food could definitely be disposed of better-by composting.  But what about going even beyond composting and producing electricity from our food scraps?  Burlington Free Press reporter Candace Page talks over the possibility with VPR’s Jane Lindholm.
