Last week a war-crimes court in Sarajevo convicted seven Bosnian Serbs of genocide. They were given prison sentences of between 38 and 42 years for an incident referred to as the worst massacre since World War II. The men were accused of killing more than one-thousand Bosniak men and boys in a warehouse in the eastern town of Srebrenica in 1995.

Sitting on a three-member panel overseeing the case was Former Vermont District Court Judge Shireen Fisher. VPR’s Jane Lindholm talks with her from Sarajevo.
