For most of us, warm sunny days have been hard to come by this summer. Jay Shafer is a professor of Atmospheric Sciences at Lyndon State College. Mark Breen is senior meteorologist at the Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium. Andy Nash is Chief Meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Burlington.

They speak with VPR’s Jane Lindholm about why we’re having such a period of stormy and soggy weather this season. They also discuss how such weather works, and how to forecast it.
