The race for governor of Vermont has been underway for six months but things are just starting to heat up. Incumbent Republican Governor Jim Douglas is running for his fourth term; Democrat and Speaker of the House Gaye Symington is running against him as a Democrat; and Anthony Pollina, the first to declare his intention to face Douglas, just recently changed his allegiance to the Progressive Party and is running as an independent.
