Vt. Revenues Up In Most Categories In January

New figures show that Vermont state revenues were up in most categories last month, coming in slightly ahead of projections.

In the results released yesterday, Administration Secretary Jeb Spaulding said January was a good month for the state treasury.

General Fund revenues in January were $2.3 million, or 1.6 percent, above forecasts. Seven months into the current fiscal year that ends June 30, general fund revenues total $750 million, three-tenths of one percent above the target figure.

But the non-property tax education fund receipts for January were about one-tenth of one percent below expectations. For the year, the fund is just below even.
