Vermont hunters will get a chance to weigh in on the 2011 hunting results and recommendations for an antler-less permitting and youth season this year.

The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department will hold two public hearings in May on the management of white-tailed deer.

One will be held Monday, May 14, at the St. Albans Town Educational Center. The other will take place on Tuesday, May, 15, in Springfield at the Riverside Junior High School cafeteria.

Both hearings will run from 7-8:30 in the evening.

Last year, hunters took more than 12,000 deer during the archery, youth, rifle, and muzzleloader seasons. Those totals will be discussed in detail at the hearings.
