Depending perhaps on where you’re from, or to some extent your own driving skill level, the roundabout is either a welcomed traffic-buster or a confounding impediment to your driving experience.

The Vermont Transportation Agency is betting on the former, especially since the road construction that favors vehicles entering a circular lane at different entrance points, yielding to traffic already in the circle, is probably coming to a town or city near you sometime in the near future.

Josh Schultz, project manager for VTRANS, tells VPR’s Mitch Wertlieb the agency feels that some sections of Vermont are better off with roundabouts, which are already dictating traffic flow in a number of areas.
