(Host) Police responded to an anti-war protest this afternoon at the offices of the Burlington Free Press. Sarah Caufield helped organize the demonstration:

(Caufield) “The media coverage does not express the views of the hundreds of millions or people across the world who are saying ‘no’ to this war. It’s not a fringe movement.”

(Host) About 20 demonstrators – including Ben and Jerry’s co-founder Ben Cohen – lay on the sidewalk by the newspaper’s front door during the protest.

Police escorted the protesters out of the building. The editor of the Burlington Free Press says he welcomes the protesters’ comments on how the newspaper covers war-related events.
