New Hampshire is getting another taste of wild weather, after severe thunderstorms ripped through the state on Sunday, bringing hail, heavy rains and lightning strikes.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning in parts of Cheshire County and Hillsborough County, in the southern part of the state.

Forecasters said a storm capable of producing penny-sized hail and damaging lightning was moving through the Monadnock Region shortly after 6 a.m. and headed northeast.

The weather service said Sunday’s storm left hail the size of a baseball in some areas. A tornado warning was issued during the storm.

And power was knocked out to about 4,000 homes and businesses.
