Teachers in the Windham Northeast Supervisory Union have voted to strike on April 4th, unless a contract agreement is reached with local school boards.

The teachers say they’ve been working with the supervisory union boards for over 15 months to reach a contact agreement, but that the supervisory union boards have been unwilling to reserve their position on arbitration and due process.

A bargaining session is scheduled for this evening.

Windham Northeast Supervisory Union includes Bellows Falls Union High School and Middle School, and elementary schools in Bellows Falls, Grafton, Saxton’s River, and Westminster.
