Winter was late to arrive this year in Vermont, and it looks to be late in leaving as well.
Driving conditions already are reported to be sloppy in many parts of the state, and they could get worse in northern Vermont as the day progresses.
Light snow is being reported in Burlington, and southern Vermont is seeing mixed precipitation, with snow in higher elevations.
It’s overcast in Montpelier as of this morning, but the capital is expected to see four to eight inches of snow and sleet by evening.
